Bangkalan, September 18, 2024 – 7th semester students of the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, have entered an important phase of their education as the thesis class begins. This class is scheduled to take place every Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM in room RKBA-104. Communication Science students. The class is a crucial step in their preparation for writing their final thesis.
In this thesis class, students are required to bring their research titles or initial research outlines, as well as draft proposals, to be discussed and refined with their supervising lecturers. This ensures that every student has a clear and focused direction for their research from the outset.
Dr. Farida Nurul Rakhmawati, S.S., M.Si, Head of the Research and Community Service Institution (LPPM) of Communication Science, explained that the thesis class is designed to provide direct guidance for students in systematically composing their thesis. “The thesis class is structured to help students recall relevant coursework on research writing, enabling them to formulate research problems, define theoretical frameworks, and develop data collection and analysis methods,” she said.
The thesis class, which consists of 8 sessions, offers students the opportunity to discuss any challenges they encounter during the thesis writing process. With a regular weekly schedule, students are expected to continuously monitor the progress of their research and complete their theses on time.
The requirement to bring research titles or draft proposals is intended to ensure that students arrive well-prepared, allowing for effective discussions during the class. The topics covered in the theses vary widely, ranging from social media phenomena and digital communication to current cultural issues.
Students have embraced this class with enthusiasm, recognizing it as a key milestone in their academic journey toward graduation. With the structured support of this class, they are expected to complete their theses successfully and earn their bachelor’s degrees on time.
