Merdeka Campus has many programs, one of which is Certified Independent Internships and Studies (MSIB) which has collaborated with thousands of partners throughout Indonesia. Putriyah, a UTM communication science student who is currently participating in Independent Study at MSIB 6. At MIKTI, a non-governmental organization (NGO), the Indonesian Information and Communication Technology Creative Industry Society/Indonesia Digital Creative Industry Society. This non-profit organization located in Central Jakarta is focusing on Technology.
Putriyah and 24 of her friends were mentored by Agustinus Christianto, an expert in data analysis and IT system operations. Classes are conducted online for a period of 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 19.00-21.30. However, outside of class there is also a mentoring session whose time is determined freely. “There are so many things that I learn in data analyst, starting from learning very basic coding, learning how to use github, Google collab, besides that, I also learn related to Mikti, statistics, data cleansing, data visualization and many others,” said Putri. This Independent study activity lasted for approximately 5 months, from February 16 – June 30
